This project involved the upgrade of the Zandvliet WWTW from a 72ML/day plant to a 90ML/day plant by constructing a new activated sludge reactor, utilizing membrane biological Reactor technology, and the construction of additional structures to the existing works’ conventional active sludge reactors. The vital upgrade ensured that the Employer was able to continue with the essential treatment of wastewater for the ever-growing population.
