This facility was constructed as one of the first ‘GREEN’ taxi facilities in the Republic of South Africa and was designed to reduce the environmental impact of commuter transport as well as optimise and improve on commuter and operator safety. The work entailed the construction of a fully equipped taxi rank complete with designated wash bays, a grey water system, a solar energy plant, covered parking as well as administration and ablution facilities.
