The realignment of the N7 between Kransvleikloof and Clanwilliam was required as advanced work for the anticipated raising of the Clanwilliam Dam.
The completed works comprised the construction of the Clanwilliam Dam Bridge (380 m), the strengthening of the Graafwater Bridge, crushing of aggregates for the road pavement and associated earthworks and Cape Seal.
